TITLE: ELVIS Got Nervous About Jamming with the Stones. & Put on the BLUE FOOTY PAJAMAS His Mama Made Him. A partial list of my celebrity collectors.

ARTIST'S DESCRIPTION OF PAINTING. I love the vulnerabilities in the icon that was ELVIS. Such as his mistrust of the Beatles (because they smoked pot).

I'm not sure if Elvis- ever met the Stones- but I know they admired his work. So in this vignette from my imagination- the Stones drop in to see Elvis in his motel room- but Elvis is nervous about jamming with them. Because they were the bad boys of rock and roll and smoked pot and Mick was bisexual etc... So Elvis retreats into the bathroom to put on some blue footy pajamas his mother made him like comfort food- comfort clothes..

But he's having a hard time buttoning them up because he gained some girth. A few final- things- this piece is created in blend of styles- realism/ pop and folk art styles. About my HOWARD Finster CONNECTION.

I had a joint show with the late great Reverend Howard shortly before he died. Some of my folk styled work is influenced by him- not only stylistically but by virtue of the fact that he was (to me) the ultimate preacher/painter.

Howard often took common recognizable objects (like his giant coke bottle piece) and plastered the image with Bible sayings. Almost as if he were a naive forerunner of subliminal influences in art and culture.

Is of me and Howard around 1998 at our joint show shortly before his death. I currently create three categories of work. This listing is category 1.

Size (unframed) is 22"x 22". It is created with fine acrylic paint.

(acrylic is now equal to or superior to oil paints in longevity). This piece is now framed. Wood and has been hand painted in baby blue. Of course- as I employ no elves or emissaries to do my work. PRIMARY ORIGINALS These are the most time-consuming and generally the largest in scale of my works.

They are owned by hundreds of Private Individuals and many Museums worldwide. One Primary Original work of art can take me weeks, months or even years to create.

For decades I created an average of five to twenty pieces of this large, time-consuming type work per year. VERSIONS OF WORK These are generally the second most time-consuming and expensive of my works. They are entirely hand-painted Versions of certain of my Primary Original Paintings. Something similar but not necessarily as expensive.

They are similar to but in no way identical to the Primary Originals after. Which they take their inspiration. They are also not merely a re-painting of my PRIMARY ORIGINALS because each one contains. They become an extension- a continuation of the PRIMARY ORIGINALS from which they are inspired. I typically spent two to five weeks on each piece.

They sometimes (but did not always) have unique frames. Which I embellished with one-of-a-kind mattes and vintage objects de' art and unusual titles. They were framed in many ways, simply.

Ornately, or were painted on gallery wrap canvas or on furniture (which required no frame). All these pieces are ethically technically. Legally (and in every way) Original Paintings. REPLICA ORIGINALS These pieces are similar to my VERSIONS of WORK category, see 2. They were typically the third most expensive type of work, I created many more of them.

Than of category 2, and they were as close to being identical to the PRIMARY ORIGINALS as possible thus, had no new creative. Developments within them with the important exception of the frames which wre often very unusual or elaborate. Hand-painted (generally smaller than the Primary Originals) replicas of some of my favorite Primary Originals. They are legally and ethically also Original Paintings in their own right.

These pieces generally required days or sometimes. Further notes about the frames: They often had very unusual frames which I embellished with one-of-a-kind. Mattes and vintage objects de' art and unusual titles. They may be painted on wood, canvas, or other materials. SMALL GALLERY WRAP CANVAS REPLICA ORIGINALS.

This is a new category- created in 2021. I originally created less than 50 of these- and have less than 30 remaining. And do not intend to create any more.

ONE-of-a-KIND WORK on HEAVY PVC with limited hand painting. The hand painting; although limited makes each piece. An original technically and legally. 8.5" X 11" SIGNED PRINTS.

KATA's prints are signed by her after being printed on very heavy card stock paper. With a gloss finish using the most expensive state of the art equipment. These prints may easily be displayed using the. Professional custom framing is one option. There are at least two other easy DIY options. Frame which has glass and hanging apparatus. Look for a frame marked either 8x10 or 11x14 that is the print size not the overall. Height and width of the frame. If purchasing an 8x10 frame one can easily trim off a bit on the bottom top and sides of the print. Once you've gotten this far, you will probably figure the rest out (or look for a YouTube). The last suggestion is to have your print. Laminated, then place a self-stick hanging apparatus on the back.
