An aerial silks / circus performer exhibits an aerial pose with gravity-defying strength and beauty. Life is our opportunity to thrive, to live life to the fullest, embrace vibrancy, to celebrate it and express our inner energy in whatever form feels right.
Entangle in your true nature, envelop in genuine expression, let it flow through like the a river. Extend your presence like the leaf...Absorbing, giving, and reaching out from its tree. I created this painting when I was training in aerial silks. I injured my shoulder and could not use my right arm for some time while it healed. I missed the activity and expression of aerial dance.
Instead of silks, I took to painting with my non-dominant hand to push the boundaries of creative expression. This resulted in a unique painting style completely different than my norm. The brush stroke texture and altered movement in the painting have a distorted reality that reflects my inner feelings while temporarily disabled. Certificate of authenticity & artist statement.
